The 12-Hour Reckless and Aggressive Driver Education Program (RADEP) is a court- and DMV-recognized behavioral driving program designed for individuals charged with serious traffic offenses such as reckless driving or aggressive driving, excluding alcohol-related cases.
This two-part course is approved by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and incorporates the National Safety Council’s Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving. The goal is to help drivers understand the root causes of risky driving behavior, improve their decision-making, and reduce recidivism.
If you have been cited for reckless driving in Virginia, it is strongly recommended that you complete this program prior to your court date, especially if advised by your attorney or required by the court. Early enrollment demonstrates accountability and may positively impact your legal outcome. Please consult your attorney for legal guidance.
